cplt:observaciones	The Director of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) would like to schedule a virtual meeting with Prof. Salazar to discuss the cooperation agreement with Chile. This agreement came into force in January 2018 and was signed between CONICYT and EMBO/EMBC and allows life scientists working in Chile to access the different EMBO programs and funding schemes (fellowships, scientific exchange grants, funding to organize scientific conferences, etc). Partnerships with EMBO take one of the following forms: 1) Cooperation agreement (the one Chile currently has) and 2) Associate Membership agreement. The cooperation agreements are regarded as an exploratory instrument and a stepping-stone towards associate membership of EMBC so it would be appropriate to evaluate our partnership so far (a full activity report will be sent soon to the Minister) and discuss possible next steps towards an associate membership agreement.
