  • Dear Sir / Madam, I hope this correspondence finds you well. Between 2013-14, International Investor developed a successful investor relations project with the last Piñera administration, working in the ministry with Pedro Pablo Errazuriz, the minister at that time. We like the ease of doing business in Chile, its friendly institutions, people, stability and openness. We see this period at the beginning of the new administration as an opportunity for us to launch and grow a regional, Latin American office from a Chilean base. Our CEO, Cory D’Abreo will be visiting Santiago for a short period between June 7 to June 22, as part of a broader regional trip to assess the country location for opening our regional office this year. But importantly, to also understand in what areas we would potentially collaborate again with the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications as it looks to secure more foreign and local investors. So we request a meeting between Minister Gloria Hutt and Mr D’Abreo, while he is in Santiago, to discuss this opportunity further and its relevance to the Minister’s plans for the transport and telecommunications sector. We are particularly interested in the Minister’s views on developing investment in the transport and logistics sector, and in the opportunities presented by technological modernisation in ports, shipping and logistics, as well as in public transportation systems. Our plans include collaborating on generating FDI and local investment flows, using technology to find investors, and growing an independent and focused international investor relations asset for the transport sector. This is a significant commitment and undertaking, and it is very important for us to understand that we can establish the same strong working relationship with the Minister as we did previously before making a commitment like this. We identify that this is a crucial time for Chile to broaden awareness of the government’s new agenda globally and its corresponding investment opportunities. So the timing is very good, as our growth plans coincide. We also have had a very good experience working with the first Piñera government. So, we would like to discuss this opportunity with Chile first. We are looking forward to getting the Minister’s input on these ideas, and hearing her thoughts on how we could take things forward. Yours sincerely, Thomas Michael Edwards Executive Director
